Jackson, Pat

Despite taking several art classes as an undergraduate at Syracuse University and providing illustrations for an off-campus newspaper, Pat didn’t actively pursue art until enrolling in an evening program at Parsons School of Design in New York City from which she received a degree in illustration. Several years later, she studied pastels in a continuing education program at Cooper Union. She was a member of New Century Artists, an artists’ association, which maintained a gallery in Manhattan’s Chelsea area and where her work was shown. After return to the Finger Lakes Area, Pat branched into other media, e.g., stained glass and ceramics. Her work has been shown at the Blue Mountain Lake Arts Center, the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, 171 Cedar Arts and the Arts Center of Yates County, among others.
