Traditional and Nontraditional Ceramic

Traditional and Nontraditional Ceramic

June 19, 2023
9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The creation of a teapot is considered a “right of passage” for every serious ceramist. A number of techniques will be explored during this workshop. Teapots are one of the most challenging forms to tackle when you are starting off in pottery making and teapots continue to be a challenge even after you have developed a basic mastery of pottery techniques. There are so many pieces and parts to teapot forms (spout, handle, lid, knob, body, etc.) and getting the timing right when making them can be a challenge. Even more difficult is getting all the parts to work together, not just physically, but aesthetically too. $120 members, $144 not-yet-members
