Thursday-Saturday, June 3rd-5th, 2027

Join internationally renowned artist Elizabeth St. Hilaire for this 3 day workshop at the Sunny Point lakeside art facility! “Botanical Watercolor Sketchbook” is a relaxed and inspiring exploration of flowers, leaves, and the natural world through watercolor and pen and ink. Inspired by the beautiful wildflowers of springtime in the Finger Lakes, Elizabeth will guide you through simple sketching techniques, expressive line work, and loose watercolor washes as you capture the colors and character of the landscape around you. You’ll experiment with color, composition, and layering while developing pages that feel fresh, spontaneous, and uniquely your own. This workshop is all about slowing down, observing nature, and creating a beautiful sketchbook filled with colorful botanical memories of your time at Sunny Point.

For a list of supplies, please visit PaperPaintings.com/supplies and scroll down to “Watercolor Sketch Book”. Watercolor paper will be provided by the Arts Center. Students are responsible for all other supplies. For any questions regarding the workshop, please email Irene Worth at workshopsacyc@gmail.com.

Cute free attraction Very cute art gallery. The exhibits change every six or so weeks. It is free to enter and look around. The ambiance was very nice with music playing in the background. I especially liked the old, gigantic vault used when it was a bank that has been refurbished into a little jewelry sales area.

Original Art Abounds The Art Center of Yates County offers sculpture, jewelry, paintings, pottery, note cards, pens, and many other HAND MADE works of art. The staff are helpful and friendly, the space is a wonderful converted bank building (you can go inside the vault to view some fine hand made jewelry) which offers plenty of wall space and nice lighting. If you are visiting the area, you must stop in to take home something locally made!

Vibrant, interesting, welcoming We had some time to spend at this lovely arts centre, which had beautiful art featured from local artists. I want to come back to try one of their classes on their Keuka Lake property.

The instructor was knowledgeable, organized and clear. She was warm and approachable. I was a bit intimidated by the idea of creating an abstract painting on a large, for me, area. She helped me get started and to make use of color theory and composition. I was “in the zone “ in no time. The space was comfortable, well lit and had tons of supplies.i will be back !

This gallery is a hidden gem When visiting the Finger Lakes, don't miss this gallery. It is conveniently located in the small village Penn Yan, NY and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a wonderful display of art from the local community and apparently, it changes every 4-8 weeks. Also, there is an old bank vault and door that is quite unique. The door itself is a work of art. Worth a stop.

Nice local art We enjoyed viewing the art created by the local artists. We spent about 10 minutes in the store. The lady behind the counter was not at all engaging though.
