Crocheting “Fidget Toys” for Charity with Irene Worth
- Instructor
Learn how to crochet while also giving back to our community! In this fun class, you will learn how to crochet a “fidget toy” using yarn and marbles. You choose the colors and design to make a fun toy to fiddle with– either to keep for yourself or as a gift. Then, you will crochet another one to give to a senior citizen at the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home. The benefits of these little toys are reduced anxiety, increased circulation and improved dexterity in the fingers and hands. This makes them great for individuals with anxiety, dementia, arthritis and poor circulation. This class is suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Ages 14+. Students can bring their own yarn and crochet hook, or purchase yarn from the instructor at the start of class (hooks available to borrow).
Supply fee is $5
