Watercolor Landscape: Sunny Point at Dusk with Nancy Lane

Improve your intermediate watercolor skills while we create this local Finger Lakes scene together! A printed photo and drawing are provided to each student in advance. If you have a tablet to view the photo, that is helpful. A group critique at the end rounds out the instruction. A suggested supply list will be provided, but students should bring materials they already have. 100% cotton rag paper is essential. Some supplies are available at the Arts Center.

About the Teacher: Professional artist Nancy Lane works in watercolor and oil. Her cheerful teaching style encourages students to enjoy the process and embrace knowledge gained from mistakes. Line, value, shape, color, form, texture, and composition are regularly discussed when appropriate. Group critiques include problem solving and encouragement. Class is limited to 9 students to allow for plenty of individual attention.
