Community members are invited to create and donate art for the Arts Center’s biennial funding exhibit in July. The goal for the “Masterpiece Mission: Painting the Path to Progress” event is to bring in 100 8-inch by 8-inch paintings created by artists and other community members for the two week show/fundraiser. It’s an opportunity to support the Arts Center creatively by being creative—and, for some, a challenge to stretch into art in new ways.

Exhibit chairs Amy Hoffman and Kristi Hoag are planning several classes in June for community members who are not “artists” to come in and create a painting with guidance from some of the area’s best known artists/teachers. The Arts Center will provide all the supplies and the mentors. Participants will bring ideas, a sense of adventure and a willingness to give art a try.
