The Yates County Student Exhibit showcases work done during the year by junior high and high school students at the County’s three school districts – Penn Yan, Dundee and Marcus Whitman. Art teachers in each district choose the best work done by each of their students in two dimensional, three dimensional and photographic arts to display in the school. The Arts Center provides a professional artist to “judge” the show, with recognition given to student work from each district in each of the three categories and one “best of show” awarded. Thanks to the support of the districts, student awardees are given small cash prizes. The show always highlights the new, talented artists developing in the school systems.
