  Keep the Art Alive!
It's very important for the community to support the art in our culture. So many cultures have little to no access to art and this is very important! Support Art and expression! This is a fantastic center and I really enjoy when they do special events.

  Fall for the Arts
Stopped by the local gallery to check out the art scene. They had a wide variety of local artists featured with fish themed art on display and for sale. It looks like they rotate through various artist so it would be worth a return visit.

  The Art Center of Yates County is one of Penn Yan’s hidden gems. The gallery is beautifully lit and welcoming. Even more so is the workshop room upstairs. It is a wonderful space for artists to come together for learning, community and becoming inspired. I’m glad I tried one out and I cannot wait to do more!

  A Treasure in the Heart of Penn Yan
An old decrepit building, once a bank, once a municipal court, and for years a decaying eyesore was given a new life by a group of highly dedicated people. We now have an art gallery that is a treasure for our town. The works of exceptionally talented local, and distant, artists are on display. Highlighted artists are featured for several weeks only to be replaced by another spotlighted group of talent. The Center has someone to please any palette from sculpture to painting in many media to jewelry to whimsical items. Don't miss it - spend any length of time there to discover something that might need to go home with you.

  Great Prices on Unique Local Items
This is a great space to showcase local and regional talent in a well laid out space. The prices are extremely reasonable as well, especially for one-of-a-kind items.

  I’ve taken two pencil drawing lessons and learned a greater appreciation of just pausing and noticing the colors that blend in nature with Pat’s classes. I’ve also taken zentangle classes with Nancy which raises geometric doodling to a soothing art form. Both excellent, both different. Art is for everyone!

  Arts Center of Yates County
If you're in Penn Yan New York you should stop by this place to view not only the exhibits, but the displays of local artists. It encompasses various media, most are for sale at reasonable prices, including jewelry, painting, sculpture, pottery, basketry among other items. It's in an old one room bank and they have retained the vault area with the old vault door which is a great way to use the surroundings. Enjoyed viewing the items, and purchased a pendent on a chain for my granddaughter. Nice to see what is happening with local art in addition to regional and national artists. Staff were very friendly, and wiling to handle any questions or attempt to find the answer if they weren't sure about it.

  Wonderful!
We happened to walk by this center on our way to dinner and they were having an open house for a new artist so we decided to stop in. So glad we did!!! What a great place with so much local talent. Friendly people, too.
