Annie’s Boathouse Pottery
Annie’s Boathouse Pottery at Sunny Point is named after our beloved friend and benefactor, the late Dr. Annie Smith. The Boathouse encompasses a complete studio with potter’s wheels, kilns, work space, and beautiful views of Keuka Lake.
Within the pottery studio are 4 potter’s wheels, a slab roller, pottery tools, kilns, and tables used for creating and glazing. Cone 5 glazes and clay are available for use with studio fees. (Please note that only clay purchased from the Arts Center pottery studio may be used at Sunny Point.)
Beginners and experienced potters of all ages are welcome to enjoy these facilities and the many workshops that are offered throughout the Summer. In addition to workshops, open studio times and private sessions are also available with our studio manager, Linda LaRock. Pre-registration is required to participate. PRIVATE SESSIONS WITH LINDA – TUESDAYS – 1:00-4:00PM
Join Linda LaRock at our Sunny Point lakeside pottery studio for an intimate group session of 4-10 guests. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, or looking for something fun to do, we have just the thing for you! Perfect for bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, a night out with friends, or family get-togethers! You select your groups’ activity from our “Project Menu” and Linda will do the rest. All levels are welcome, ages 5+. If you would like to book a private group pottery session, or have any questions, please contact Linda LaRock at Lindalarock@gmail.com. Private sessions are currently scheduled for Tuesdays from 1-4pm. If that does not work with your schedule, please contact Linda.
SATURDAY SESSIONS – 1:00-4:00pm
Join Linda at Sunny Point for a Saturday Session! These sessions are akin to “Open Studio” time – Linda will be there to assist, but will not be providing formal instruction. We will have a “Project Menu” to choose from for those looking for simple ideas. The cost of the session includes 2 lbs. of clay. Additional clay is available for purchase. The cost of firing your project is also included. The glazing fee depends on the size and shape of your project. **NOTE: These are not “Drop In” sessions. Please call ahead of time to reserve a spot. Each session is limited to 10 people. The Pottery Studio will be set up to be kid-friendly and fun for all ages. Children must be at least 5 years old to participate. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Adults – $40 members, $50 not-yet-members
Kids – $20 (Ages 5-17)
