Annie’s Boathouse Pottery

Annie’s Boathouse Pottery at Sunny Point houses a complete studio with potter’s wheels, kilns, work space and a beautiful view of Keuka Lake.

Beginners and experienced potters alike are inspired by the many workshops and Open Studio time available at Annie’s Boathouse Pottery.

Within the pottery studio are 4 potter’s wheels, a slab roller, pottery tools, kiln and tables used for creating and glazing. Cone 5 glazes and clay (please note that only clay purchased from the Arts Center pottery studio may be used at Sunny Point) are available for use with studio fees. Open studio time is available for a fee. Raku workshops are also offered. A pottery manager is available for studio instruction, kiln firing, consultation, and maintenance.

Open studio is $10/hour plus the cost of clay. Call the Arts Center to reserve your space.

About Your Instructor

Tim Williams is a recently retired art teacher who relocated from Rochester, (where he lived all his life, raised three wonderful daughters), to Naples NY. It is in this new location that Tim is actively pursuing enhancing his artist skills, and community service participation. Tim continues to teach and create art along with community members in the Finger Lakes area and local school districts. He has joined a number of new organizations such as the Arts Center of Yates County, the Naples and Bristol Historical Societies, Rochester Museum and Science Center as a Council Member, the Memorial Art Museum, the New York State Archeology Association, as well as the District 7120 Rotary Country Officer for South Africa. One of Tim’s passions is to develop his students’ ability to See, that will provide an individual, through the practice of drawing and painting to learn to truly appreciate the very nature of their environment.
